Data we Collect & How we use it
We collect data in order to take payment for our online course, set up a user account on our platform, issue certificates of course completion and keep you informed about the relevant information to do with your purchase.
If you’re purchasing a course or certification for someone else, you must have the person’s permission to give us this data. By submitting a third party’s data, we will assume you have their permission to do so.
Payment information is handled securely by Paypal.
We may also collect anonymous analytics data to measure the performance of our website.
Who we share your data with
We do not share your information with third-parties without your consent.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
We will retain your data as long as you maintain a user account on our platform, or up to 3 years, whichever applies first. You may request your user account, and any associated data, to be deleted at any time.
We will retain information for the purposes of financial accounting and verification of certificates we have issued.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time with the exception of the username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
